The government is contemplating to privatize state-owned Teletalk, Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Limited (BTCL) and Telephone Shilpa Sangstha (TSS) if these entities fail to make profit by June 30, this year, State Minister for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak said on Tuesday.

Speaking to reporters after casting his vote in the Natore District Lawyers Association election, he also said that there will be no investment in these three companies that are making loss continuously.

Work is on to assess the value of the companies, he added.
